Subject: RE: Medieval Teaching Resources

Hello again, I just re-read my memo I sent and realized that I never made it clear that I was asking for any ideas for teaching about the Medieval period in England for a 5/6 class. So here I am.

Thank you, c/o a friend's e-mail.

PBS has a 55 minute video tape called CASTLE that is very interesting to that age of students.

Subject: Constitution Ideas?? Gr. 8

A colleague wonders:

Very soon I will be immersing my 8th graders in the U.S. Constitution. I am looking for activities that will help them relate to the document. I am looking for both individual and group activities that are hands-on. I would also like to hear about ideas that relate the Constitution to today."

Thanks in advance for any ideas/support you can send his way.

Don't forget to show them the Iroquois constitution, which preceded our own by several hundred years and is supposed to have influenced the founding fathers. You can get it by doing a Veronica search of "constitution." (It is quite lengthy and very interesting).
