Can a project involving schools, teachers and students at schools in regions and countries inhabited, visited or settled by Scandinavians during the period 800-1000 AD contribute to rAise awareness of the local "Viking" past and interest for further study of the period?
We think so!
The Viking Network was launched in January 94. We collect accounts of "Viking" activity from all of the countries the Vikings ever visited.
Schools are asked to act as correspondents and report on "Viking" activity in their area.
